potato waffles
Recipe
These crispy potato waffles are reminiscent of croquettes, only in waffle form.
Preparation time: 40 minutes
Ingredients: potatoes, egg, flour, salt, nutmeg, pepper
For 2-3 people (makes approx. 8 waffles)
700 g potatoes (approx. 4 pieces), peel and coarsely grate through the roasting grater
1 egg
100g flour
1 tsp salt
Add nutmeg and pepper and knead into a kind of “dough”.
Brush a waffle iron with vegetable oil of your choice.
Put a large portion on the waffle iron so that you have to press the waffle iron together with a little force. This means you get compact and crispy waffles.
Bake the waffles for about 10 minutes until crispy.
Repeat until all of the dough is incorporated.
