Diese wunderschöne Wanderung ist besonders lohnend im Herbst zu begehen. Die Lärchen von Balavaux sind auf stolze 100 Jahre Lebensalter geschätzt, darunter sind wohl die ältesten Exemplare Europas. Und im Herbst werden diese wunderschön golden. Gespiegelt sind die Lärchen im Lac de Tracouet einfach nur toll.
Erreichbarkeit: Haut Nendaz ist ab Sion mit dem Postauto in ca. 40 Minuten erreichbar. Das Postauto fährt bis zur Station "Haute-Nendaz, Télcabine", wobei sich die Talstation der Gondelbahn Tracoute befindet.
Mit dem Auto gelangst du ebenfalls nach Haut-Nendaz. Rechnen mit einer kurvenreichen Strecke. Es sind kostenpflichtige Parkplätze vorhanden.
Bahn Tracouet: In wenigen Minuten bist du hoch oben beim Aussichtspunkt Tracouet von wo aus man ein tolles Panorama über die umliegenden Berge erhältst.

Wanderung: Von Haut-Nendaz nach Tracouet kannst du auch laufen. Hierbei musst du ca. 3 Stunden einrechnen.
Von der Bergstation Tracoute kannst du in ca. 5 Minuten zum Lac de Tracouet laufen. Besonders im Herbst eine wunderschöen Fabenpracht, den die gelben Lärchen spiegeln sich wunderschön im See wieder.
Bei See kannst du einen Abstecker zum Dent de Nendaz machen. Dafür musst du ca. 3 Stunden einrechnen. Du überwindest eine Höhendifferenz von ca. 540 Metern.
Von Lac de Tracoute führt eine einfache Wanderung runter zu den Lärchen von Balavaux. Vom See aus folgst du du den Wegweisern Richtung Cavane de Balavaux. Der Weg führt über Alpweisen und durch den Wald. In ca. 2-3 Stunden bist du anschliessend wieder in Haut-Nendaz.
Kulinarik: In Nendaz wie auch auf der Wanderung bestehen Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten. Es hat auch viele tolle Picknickmöglichkeiten.
Nendaz-Lac de Tracouet-Balavaux-Nendaz (VS) Trip tip This beautiful hike is particularly worthwhile to undertake in autumn. Tracouet train: In just a few minutes you will be high up at the Tracouet viewpoint, from where you can get a great panorama of the surrounding mountains. From the Tracoute mountain station you can walk to Lac de Tracouet in about 5 minutes. A beautiful display of colors, especially in autumn, as the yellow larches are reflected beautifully in the lake.
At sea you can make a detour to the Dent de Nendaz. You need to allow around 3 hours for this. You overcome an altitude difference of approx. 540 meters. From Lac de Tracoute, an easy hike leads down to the larches of Balavaux. From the lake you follow the signs towards Cavane de Balavaux. The path leads over alpine meadows and through the forest. In about 2-3 hours you will be back in Haut-Nendaz. Culinary: There are catering options in Nendaz as well as on the hike. It also has lots of great picnic options.
