Herkunft: Die Garten-Hyazinthen stammen ursprünglich von den Liliengewäch. Im natürlichen Raum findest du die Blumen noch im Mittelmeerraum.

Charakter: Die Blumen werden zwischen 15-30 cm hoch und sind mit vielen Blüten besetzt. Die Vegetationsperiode der Blumen ist kurz.

Standort: Die Hyazinthen mögen einen sonnigen und warmen Platz im Garten. Auch in Töpfen auf dem Balkon oder der Terrasse gedeihen die Blumen.

Pflanzen: Die Hyazinthe kommt als Zwiebel, wie bei einer Tulpe beispielsweise.

Vor dem Pflanzen den Boden gut auflockern und schliesslich ein ca. 10 cm tiefes Loch graben und die Zwiebel reinstecken. Beim Anpflanzen sollte man zwischen jeder Zwiebel ca. 15 cm Abstand halten. Da die Blütenpracht der Blume nicht unterschätzt werden sollte.

Wie bei der Tulpe solltest du die Zwiebel im Ende Oktober/ Anfang November pflanzen.

Pflege: Wichtig ist ein regelmässiges Giessen bei Trockenperioden. So kann die Zwiebelblume genügend Nährstoffe bilden.
