Von der Fähre direkt in die wunderschöne Natur der Südinsel Neuseelands. Der Pfad führt über einen schönen Weg zu vielen tollen Ausblicken.
Erreichbarkeit: Mit dem Auto am besten erreichbar. In Neuseeland ist der öffentliche Verkehr ausserhalb grösserer Städte nicht besonders gut ausgebaut. Mit dem Auto kannst du auch an abgelegene Orte fahren.
Startpunkt/Dauer: Die komplette Wanderung kannst du von Picton's Hafen begehen. Dafür musst du ca. 4-5 Stunden berechnen. Mit dem Auto kannst du auch eine kürzere Route wählen. Hierfür fährst du zum Snout Track Parkplatz in der Victoria Domain. Dann dauert die Wanderung ca. 3 Stunden. Mit ausgiebigem Picknick kannst du aber auch gute 4 Stunden berechnen.
Ausrüstung: Wenn es etwas geregnet hat, sind viele Teile des Weges aus Erde durchnässt und etwas rutschig. Dann sind Wanderschuhe von Vorteil.

Aussicht: Der Track stellt die spektakuläre Schönheit der Marlborough Sounds dar.
Am Ende der Landzunge bist du knapp am Ufer des Meeres. Mit etwas Glück kannst du auch Delfine beobachten. Wir hatten Glück und haben einen aus dem Wasser springen sehen :)
Tipp: Nimm für dein Neuseeland Abenteuer ein Fernglas mit. So kannst du wilde Tiere aus guter Entfernung beobachten.

Snout track excursion tip From the ferry directly into the beautiful nature of the South Island of New Zealand. The path leads over a beautiful path to many great views. Accessibility: Best reached by car. In New Zealand, public transport is not particularly well developed outside of larger cities. You can also drive to remote places. Starting point/duration: You can do the entire hike from Picton's harbour. For this you have to calculate about 4-5 hours. You can also choose a shorter route by car. Difficulty level: easy Views: The track showcases the spectacular beauty of the Marlborough Sounds. At the end of the headland you are almost on the shore of the sea. With a bit of luck you can also watch dolphins. We were lucky and saw one jumping out of the water :) Tip: Take binoculars with you on your New Zealand adventure. So you can observe wild animals from a good distance.
