700 m über den majestätischen Redwood Tree laufen. Das ist in Rotorua möglich. Am Abend in der Dämmerung noch eindrücklicher mit schönen Lichtspielen.
Erreichbarkeit: Rotorua verfügt über ein Netz von öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Mein Tipp in Neuseeland, damit du auch ausserhalb der Stadt viele wunderschöne Orte entdecken kannst, ist ein Mietauto zu mieten. So bist du am flexibelsten unterwegs.
Parkieren: Es kann direkt und gratis beim Redwoods Treewalk parkiert werden.
Dauer: Die Brücken schlängeln sich über ganze 700 m. Mit vielen Infoinseln zwischen den Brücken und mit Zeit Fotos zu machen kann man ca. 40 Minuten einrechnen. Je nach Andrang muss etwas Zeit eingerechnet werden, um auf den Treewalk zu kommen. Wir sind ca. 30 Minuten angestanden, für den nächtlichen Treewalk.

Öffnungszeiten: täglich (ausser Weihnachten) ab 9 Uhr morgens- 23:00 Abends.
Fakten: Die Reedwoods werden bis zu 75 m hoch. Die Bäume oder auch "Giganten" genannt sind ca. 120 Jahre alt. Die Bäume haben also schon so einiges miterlebt. Die Rinde der Bäume ist sehr sensibel. Aufgrund dessen solltest du diese nicht anfassen.
Nächtliches Erlebnis: Durch viele verschiedene schön arrangierte Lichterspiele und Lampen wird der Wald in ein nächtliches Paradies ausgeleuchtet. Sieh den Wald aus der Vogelperspektive.
Fazit: Eine schöne Erfahrung mit dem Lichterspiel in der Nacht. Der grosse Andrang und die Wartezeiten, die entstehen können, sind es jedoch nicht zu schade. Preislich sicherlich eher im oberen Niveau. Tipp: Buche dein Ticket bereits im Voraus. So kannst du längere Wartezeiten vermeiden. Beim zweiten Ma ist man immer etwas gescheiter ;)
Redwoods Treewalk (NZ)

Walk 700 m over the majestic Redwood Tree. That is possible in Rotorua. In the evening at dusk even more impressive with beautiful light effects.
Accessibility: Rotorua has a network of public transport. My tip in New Zealand, so that you can discover many beautiful places outside of the city, is to rent a car. This is the most flexible way for you to travel.
Parking: You can park directly and free of charge at the Redwoods Treewalk.
Duration: The bridges meander over a total of 700 m. With many information islands between the bridges and with time to take photos, you can calculate about 40 minutes. Depending on the crowds, you have to allow some time to get to the treewalk. We queued for about 30 minutes for the nocturnal tree walk.

Nocturnal experience: the forest is illuminated in a nocturnal paradise by many different, beautifully arranged light shows and lamps. Get a bird's-eye view of the forest.
Conclusion: A nice experience with the play of lights at night. However, the big rush and the waiting times that can arise are not too bad. Priced certainly rather in the upper level.
Tip: Book your ticket in advance. This way you can avoid longer waiting times. You're always a bit smarter the second time ;)
